Sensory Oasis
A calm space for curious minds to explore, regulate, and grow.
Sensory Oasis is a hands-on sensory environment designed for children to explore through touch, movement, and discovery. Our space is intentionally created to support curiosity, creativity, and emotional regulation through open-ended, and gently guided experiences.
Each week, the sensory materials and play environments change based on our 12-Career STEAM curriculum. Children are constantly introduced to new textures, tools, and imaginative play opportunities that keep engagement fresh and curiosity growing.
Whether your child loves messy play, quiet focus, movement, or water exploration, there is a place for them here.
Sensory Areas
Water Play
A hands-on water experience where children pour, scoop, measure, and explore movement and flow. This area supports early science thinking, coordination, and sensory regulation.
Sand Play
A calming, tactile space filled with sand-based play experiences. Children dig, build, and explore textures while developing fine motor skills and imaginative play.
Rotating Sensory Play
A changing sensory experience featuring materials such as rice, beans, pasta, oats, and seasonal sensory blends. Each week introduces new textures and tools for exploration and discovery.
Creative Play
A hands-on imaginative space filled with moldable materials like in-house made playdough, slime, and kinetic sand. Children are invited to build, create, and explore through open-ended creative play that supports curiosity and expression.
Sensory Oasis Classes
We offer classes that are guided by a teacher who introduces materials, demonstrates activities, and supports children through hands-on exploration.
Seedlings (Babies, 3–12 months)
Seedlings are in the earliest stage of sensory development, exploring the world through sight, sound, touch, and movement. Experiences are gentle and paced for caregiver and child interaction, supporting bonding, early sensory regulation, and safe exploration.
Each session is gently guided by a teacher who introduces materials, models sensory play, and incorporates simple stories or sensory books when appropriate. This is designed specifically for infants who are not yet walking independently.
Class size: 6 babies (with caregiver participation)
Sprouts (Young Toddlers, 1–2 years)
Sprouts are actively discovering how the world works through movement and exploration. This class is designed for children who are independently walking and still in diapers. Caregivers participate alongside children in sensory play while a teacher gently introduces materials, demonstrates how to use them, and supports early engagement through language, modeling, and guided exploration.
Class size: 6 children (with caregiver participation)
Saplings (Older Toddlers, 2–3 years)
Saplings are developing independence, curiosity, and early social awareness. This class is designed for children who are potty trained. Caregivers and children engage together in structured sensory exploration, including scooping, pouring, building, and early imaginative play. A teacher guides the session by introducing materials, modeling exploration, and supporting transitions between activities.
Class size: 8 children (with caregiver participation)
Branches (Preschool, 3–4 years)
Branches engage in intentional sensory and creative play experiences alongside their caregivers. Activities support early problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and hands-on discovery through rotating sensory materials and themed exploration. A teacher leads the learning experience through material introduction, guided demonstrations, and story-based engagement.
Class size: 12 children (with caregiver participation)
Canopy (Pre-K, 4–5 years)
Canopy learners are reaching toward independence while still rooted in guided discovery. Activities focus on early STEAM thinking, experimentation, collaboration, and structured sensory exploration. A teacher guides the experience by introducing vocabulary, asking questions, and encouraging experimentation with the materials.
Class size: 12 children (with caregiver participation)
Sensory Support Programs
These classes are designed for children who benefit from a lower stimulation environment, predictable structure, and additional sensory support. Caregivers participate alongside their children in a calm, intentionally designed setting.
Each session includes low lighting, small group sizes, reduced noise levels, and a slower, supported pace. A teacher gently leads the experience by introducing materials, modeling sensory exploration, reading short books when appropriate, and guiding transitions between activities. These programs are especially supportive for neurodivergent children or children who benefit from reduced sensory load and increased regulation support.
Grove Explorers (Ages 3–6)
A calm, structured sensory experience designed for younger children and their caregivers. Activities focus on sensory regulation, early exploration, and hands-on discovery through water play, sand play, and creative sensory materials. Children are supported through gentle routines and guided engagement at their own pace.
Class size: 8 children (with caregiver participation)
Rooted Navigators (Ages 7–12)
A structured sensory and STEAM-based experience designed for older children and their caregivers. Activities support focus, emotional regulation, and engagement through building, experimentation, sensory exploration, and movement-based learning in a low-stimulation environment.
Class size: 8 children (with caregiver participation)
Open Sensory Play
Open Sensory Play is a flexible, self-paced experience where families can explore Sensory Oasis without joining a structured class. Children move freely between sensory areas, including water play, sand play, rotating sensory materials, and creative play.
This is not a formal class. Caregivers remain fully responsible for their children and participate alongside them throughout the experience.
This option is ideal for families who prefer unstructured exploration, want to experience Sensory Oasis before enrolling in classes, or enjoy a more relaxed visit style.
