Hi, I'm Seleste—the educator, curriculum creator, and curious mind behind STEAM with Seleste.
I've always been fascinated by science and the way the world works. While earning my degree in biology, I discovered a love for chemistry, especially organic chemistry, and developed a deep appreciation for exploration, experimentation, and lifelong learning. At the same time, I found my true calling working with kids, helping them discover their own curiosity and confidence through hands-on experiences.
Over the years, I've worked in childcare, early childhood education, after-school enrichment, and STEAM programming. Through these experiences, I saw how powerful learning becomes when children are given the freedom to explore, create, question, and discover for themselves.
I created STEAM with Seleste because I wanted children to see the incredible possibilities that exist beyond the careers they hear about every day. While many children know about doctors and veterinarians, there are countless other paths waiting to be explored—scientists, engineers, astronomers, botanists, zoologists, meteorologists, geologists, chemists, and so many more.
Each month of the STEAM with Seleste curriculum introduces children to a new career through hands-on experiments, engineering challenges, sensory exploration, literacy connections, art projects, and real-world problem solving. My goal is not simply to teach science, but to help children discover new interests, build confidence, and imagine futures they may never have considered before.
As both an educator and a parent, I believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and genuinely excited about what they're doing. Curiosity grows through connection, and meaningful learning happens when children are given opportunities to explore the world with wonder.
Today, STEAM with Seleste combines my love of science, education, creativity, and child development into one mission: helping children discover their passions through play, exploration, and hands-on learning.
Thank you for being here and for joining me on this adventure.
